Konjenital asimetrik ağlayan yüz tek taraflı depressor anguli oris kasının yokluğu yada hipoplazisi nedeni ile oluşan bir anomalidir. Hastalığın majör bulgusu ağlama veya gülme sırasında ağız köşesinin aşağı ve dışa hareketinin hiç olmaması veya kısıtlı olmasıdır. Yüz istirahatte simetriktir. Yaşla birlikte kozmetik bozukluk azalır. Deformite yetişkinlerde görünmez hale gelir. Etiyopatogenezi bilinmemektedir. Tanıda en değerli yöntem anamnez ve fizik muayenedir. Depressör anguli oris kası hipoplazisi sıklıkla diğer sistemik konjenital anomaliler ile birliktedir. Bunlar sıklıkla kardiyovasküler, baş-boyun, kas ve iskelet sistemi, solunum, gastrointestinal sistem, santral sinir sistemi ve genitoüriner sistem anomalileridir. Bu yazıda, kliniğimize başvuran depressor anguli oris kası hipoplazisi olan 3 olgu sunulmuş, hastalığın tanısı ve diğer konjenital anomaliler ile olan birlikteliği tartışılmıştır.

Congenital asymmetric crying facies is an anomalia caused by unilateral absence or hypoplasia of depressor anguli oris muscle on one side of mouth. The major finding of the disease is the absence or weakness in the outer and lower movement of the commissure during crying and smiling. The face appears symmetric at rest. The cosmetic defect decreases with age. The deformity becomes obscure in adults. Etiopathogenesis of the disease is unknown. Diagnosis of the disease is established by history and physical examination. Hypoplasia of depressor anguli oris muscle is frequently associated with various systemic congenital abnormalities such as cardiovascular, head and neck, musculoskeletal, respiratory, gastrointestinal, central nervous system and genitourinary anomalies. In this paper, we present 3 cases with congenital hypoplasia of depressor anguli oris muscle and discuss the diagnosis of disease and associated with the other congenital anomalies.
